French-Jewish Musician and Singer Eleonore Weill will make her first appearance in Maine on June 15, 2018, at Congregation Beth El
She will perform as part of a Kabbalat Shabbat Service along with Sruli Dresdner and Lisa Mayer, Klezmer Musicians originally from New York who are now Rabbi and Rebbetzin at Temple Shalom in Auburn.

Eleonore grew up in the South of France in a musical family and holds diplomas in recorder, piano and music theory from the National Conservatory of Paris. She traveled around the world absorbing many folk styles and musical cultures before receiving her Masters Degree from the Sorbonne. She plays Jewish, Occitane, and Romanian music on unusual wooden flutes, hurdy gurdy and accordion.
Eleonore plays with her Klezmer Band, Tsibile ("Onion" in Yiddish!) as well as with chamber ensembles and folk musicians around the world. She is a teacher and a composer and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY, with her husband, the super-violinist Jake Shulman-Ment.
