Lifelong jewish Learning
Whether you are looking to enroll your child in Hebrew School,
engage in thoughtful and heartfelt torah study with peers,
or take out a book from our accredited jewish library,
Beth el is the place for you.
Kesher ("Connection") is an egalitarian, Jewish
religious education program, serving young people from pre-K to B'nei Mitzvah and beyond.
The goal of Kesher is to create an environment in which students can connect deeply with Jewish text and tradition, with their Jewish identity, and with one another.
Kesher is jointly operated by Congregations Beth El and Beth Israel in Bangor.
To learn more about the program or enrollment, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Join us for Saturday morning Torah Study on Zoom, special lectures, courses, and performances in our sanctuary, and discussion groups in living rooms near you.

Ours is the only accredited Jewish library in the state of Maine. Sponsored by the Jewish Community Endowment Associates, the library is open to the Jewish community of Bangor as well as to Beth El members. From Torah commentaries to New York Times bestsellers, our library has something for everyone. Come peruse our selection of canonical and contemporary texts!
